KeyShot Studio 2026.2: Say Goodbye to Bugs – All the Benefits of the New Release
More speed, more control and fewer obstacles in your workflow.
KeyShot Studio 2026.2 introduces a range of new features designed around one of the most important goals for anyone working with 3D visualization: achieving better results without making the process more complicated.
From Apple GPU Support and Cloud Rendering to the innovative Node Grouping, along with performance improvements, greater stability and over 100 bug fixes, this release brings improvements to several key areas of the everyday workflow.
And yes, we can finally say it: say goodbye to bugs.
The new release addresses the 100 most significant bugs identified through crash reports, support requests and user feedback, delivering a major boost in stability across the most commonly used workflows.
KeyShot 2026.2 is designed to make 3D rendering faster, more stable and better integrated into the design workflow.
Faster, Smarter 3D Rendering
One of the most important updates in KeyShot 2026.2 is related to rendering.
The new release introduces Apple GPU Support, currently available in Beta, allowing you to use the GPU of Apple Silicon devices directly for rendering.
The result is a more responsive workflow and a significant performance boost: according to the release documentation, performance can increase by up to 50x, depending on the hardware and use case.
The feature is designed for Apple Silicon devices, with M3 or later recommended to get the most out of GPU rendering.
For anyone working with 3D models, materials and scenes every day, this means less time waiting for renders and more time spent designing, reviewing and communicating products.
GPU Cutaways: More Flexibility for GPU Rendering
Cutaways are getting an upgrade too. With KeyShot Studio 2026.2, the Cutaway material now works correctly in GPU mode. Previously, correct Cutaway rendering was only available when using the CPU.
A small functional improvement, but an important one for keeping the rendering workflow more consistent and flexible.
KeyShot Studio 2026.2: what’s new in this release
Cloud Rendering in KeyShot 2026.2: When You Need More Power, the Cloud Does the Rest
Your workstation isn’t always enough to handle a demanding rendering job. With Cloud Rendering, KeyShot Studio 2026.2 lets you move the workload to the cloud without requiring additional hardware or complex network configurations.
The service supports both GPU and CPU rendering, includes credit estimates directly in the workflow and lets you manage your renders through the Render Gallery.
Renders can also be downloaded and accessed from multiple machines, while the Combined Queue allows you to combine Cloud and Network rendering.
In other words, your local hardware doesn’t have to be the limit when you need more computing power.
A More Organized Material Graph with Node Grouping
If you’ve ever worked on a complex material in KeyShot, you know how quickly the Material Graph can turn into a network of nodes that is difficult to navigate.
With Node Grouping, individual nodes can be organized into collapsible groups that can be customized with names, colors, inputs and outputs.
You can also assign specific names to inputs and outputs.
It’s a simple feature, but a useful one when a project grows and your materials need to remain clear, editable and easy to manage.

Animations in KeyShot Studio 2026.2: Fewer Steps, More Control
The Timeline is now more practical too. You can add the first keyframe directly from the Timeline by selecting a part or camera, without having to go through the Animation Wizard.
Horizontal navigation has also been simplified: you can move along the Timeline using horizontal scrolling or Shift + Scroll.
Small improvements that eliminate extra steps and make animation management smoother.
CAD Metadata: More Information Directly in the Scene Tree
With CAD Metadata, KeyShot Studio 2026.2 allows you to add CAD-specific information directly to the Scene Tree.
This makes model-related data more accessible and keeps more information available within the visualization workflow.
For teams working with closely connected CAD design and 3D visualization processes, it’s another step towards a more integrated working environment.
Add CAD-specific information directly to the Scene Tree.
Scripting: More Possibilities for Automation
This release also brings improvements for users who rely on scripting to automate their workflows.
Script execution has been optimized, making it faster even when working with larger scripts.
KeyShot Studio 2026.2 also introduces new animation capabilities through scripting: you can now create, modify and delete keyframe-based animations for objects and cameras.
For anyone managing complex workflows or repetitive tasks, this opens up new possibilities for automation.
Say Goodbye to Bugs with KeyShot 2026.2: The Small Improvements That Make a Difference
Among the less visible – but perhaps most appreciated – improvements are the updates focused on stability.
This release addresses the 100 most significant bugs, identified through crash reports, support requests and community feedback. The goal is to deliver a more stable experience across the most common workflows.
The update also includes improvements to Colorways, Library Search, Gallery and Pattern Tool, as well as cleaner GPU rendering in certain situations.
KeyShot Studio 2026.2: What Really Changes?
Looking at the release as a whole, the direction is clear: making the visualization process faster, more flexible and easier to manage.
Apple GPU support opens up new possibilities for performance. Cloud Rendering provides additional computing power when local resources aren’t enough. Node Grouping and the new animation features make everyday work more organized and efficient.
These updates are joined by scripting, CAD Metadata, improved GLTF/GLB file handling and a range of improvements to compatibility and usability.
And then there’s stability: 100 bugs fixed to make the experience more solid across the most common workflows.
The result is a KeyShot that aims to do one very practical thing: help you work better.
